Hi guys

I hope someone can help me.

My setup is currently as follows.

Twin LNB to a 2x4 splitter to my hdpvr 4 tuner decoder. Then from there a cable tuns into the roof into a splitter and booster which runs to each room.

I'm busy with a home theatre room in the basement and would like to add an explorer there. Also I'd like each bedroom to be able to watch channels on both decoders.

Can I still use the twin LNB and use another 2x4 splitter and run two cables down stairs to the explorer and then the other two into the 2x4 splitter for the hdpvr 4 tuner and then run a heart beat cable between the two decoders. Or should I upgrade to a quad LNB.

Thanks

explorer uses a uni cable and not 2 cables like other PVR's
you need to get the explorer specific splitter (image below) then 2 cables from the LNB into splitter and from there 1 into the explorer and 4 into your HDPVR.
Explora-DStv-Switch.jpg

will work with your twin LNB

Replace with a SmartLNB and run 1 Cable to each decoder. Explora switch is discontinued so I hear.
