DStv launches movie channel add-on option for R99 per month

Oh so you can split up the channels when its financially beneficial to you then MC?

Twats.
No-one ever said that DSTV were not free to charge more for individual bundles.

What they are worried about is the fact that they know most of their channels are garbage and are only sold as something to justify the reason why you need to pay R1000 for the 2 sports channels most people want.

Oh I know...

I was just looking for a reason to call them Twats mostly :D

What? So they are allowing us to now start choosing channels when this was claimed to be impossible?

heh he! :D
But it comes with small print! Nevertheless, it might be a signal of things to come.

You would not know --- You need to be prepared to speak Afrikaans to know ..... Do you? Speak Afrikaans that is?

So, overwhelm the public with half a dozen developments together, and think you'll come out well hey MC? Good luck with that, people were tired of your hype a decade ago.

Indeed a step in the right direction. I can see it as an option for someone on the R29 package that only wants the movies. A bit of a conundrum though if you can get the premium movies but not the standard ones.

Do you think it's a case of "ok guys, take all these ideas and try them all and see what sticks" at Mutlichoice HQ?

 I remember consumers asking for add-on/bolt-on services for quite some time.

MC's reply was always . . . This is not how satellite subscription works! Not industry standard!
