MultiChoice has announced its Add Movies product, which allows customers of selected packages to access M-Net's top three movie channels for an additional R99 per month.

No-one ever said that DSTV were not free to charge more for individual bundles.

What they are worried about is the fact that they know most of their channels are garbage and are only sold as something to justify the reason why you need to pay R1000 for the 2 sports channels most people want.

Indeed a step in the right direction. I can see it as an option for someone on the R29 package that only wants the movies. A bit of a conundrum though if you can get the premium movies but not the standard ones.

MC's reply was always . . . This is not how satellite subscription works! Not industry standard!
