Dstv Now to play on tv

Hi

I want to mirra the dstv now app from my android phone onto my tv. I've used a mirra Screen device which gives me audio on the tv but no visual.

Can someone please help me

Well it's not a smart t.v. unfortunately cos I got jacked. A 40" flat screen is what I have. I've tried Google chrome via my laptop but under the cast option it doesn't pickup my mirra device

It will only cast to a chromecast enabled device like a Chromecast or Android TV (NOT mobile Android) device.

Can you successfully mirror other apps like YouTube?

Hello again. Yes I can mirracast YouTube videos and all video content from my phone with audio and visual. Everything that's on my phone except for DSTV NOW

You can only cast DSTV Now via Chromecast or from within the app to AppleTV... no mirroring

So I have to buy the device called Chromecast from takealot, then hook that up to the tv and run it off my laptop?

You said mirror phone to TV.. so Chromecast or ATV. Laptop can connect via HDMI

I've hooked up the mirra device to the tv right, went onto the laptop on chrome and searched for the device but was not able to find it.

Walk me through what i should do please because I'm pretty timid with tech.

I have a mirracast dongle, an android phone with the dstv now app on it and a laptop.

Sorry, don't have Chromecast. Maybe the guys above will help. From what I see (Google) about Miracast, your laptop should be able to pick that up. Then you can use DStv Now via the laptop. From mobile I'm afraid you're stuck with a chromecast device
