I don't know if this has been asked before, and if it has, please accept my apologies.

I temporarily moved to my parents, and took my DSTV with. I am going to move out, without removing the dish. Is it possible to receive SABC through a decoder without paying for it. (TV licence is paid)

To view the Free Channels (like SABC, eTV etc) you'll need to get easyview from dstv which costs around R20 per month.

Using a Vivid decoder yes, otherwise you can subscribe to the easyview package at R20 per month.

You can do it with a special decoder like a Dreambox and the right software.
