Need a bit of help with the newish DSTV Smart lnb.
I have looked all over the place and can't find any help with the wiring of the smart lnb. I am a complete novice when It comes xtraview.
Unicable Universal
A B C D 1 2
At the moment my explora is connected to Unicable A, BCD are capped off.
I am wanting to add my old HD PVR 2 as a Xtraview.
My First question is, will I be able to use a single cable for the HD PVR or Will it have to be two.
Secondly, What ports will I need to connect them too.
Thirdly, I heard that you could connect the heart beat cable at the Smart LNB, If so then from what port to what port.
Lastly I am wanting to split the cable in the roof to go to two different rooms. I will move the HD PVR from one room to the other depending on if I have guests or not. I will never use more than one decoder on the split cable. Would I have a to much of signal degradation to run the HD PVR.
I have searched through the forums and googled for this type of info but all I could find was how to set up the HD PVR decoder.
