Why no SABC proposal for Conditional Access (CAM) ??

I think CAM would solve everyone's requirements:
  • SABC would get it's revenue.
  • No pirates.
  • Don't want, don't get a decoder.
  • HD/4K for licensing
A win-win-win situation.

The problem is the average SABC viewer can't afford said decoder and the ANC criminals needs to reach their propaganda viewers somehow, so they will target those that don't view the SABC crap in the first place

The 'kasi crowd, who cannot afford a loaf of bread, but have a TV will be disadvantaged.

  • Fix Maladministration at SABC
  • Stopping irregular expenditure
  • Improve efficiency & effectiveness
  • Implement Conditional Access
  • Streamline inefficient processes
  • Stop Cadre Deployments

MonoChoice would lose even more subscribers if/when forced to charge a TV licking fee along with DSTV subscription fees, and normally I would approve of the end result, but I don't want streaming services being forced to charge me TV licking fees when I don't even own a TV (and I don't lick people's TVs either, it's very unhygienic).

They already are? I mean how else are they watching DSTV? Unless it's through a monitor.
 
I cancelled DSTV ages ago. So please go ahead. Charge all those damn DSTV viewers that can actually view SABC on their decoders, or well simply cancel all the SABC channels on DSTV.

I see we are moving to a digital spectrum too where current tvs wont work without a decoder, but the ones that dont have a tv license will effectively get a free decoder where everyone with a tv license have to buy one themself. And well some sort of aerial or dish. I refuse to pay money for this. So either supply and install for me, or well cancel my license.
 
Why dont we make SABC pay to view. ie pay the annual license and your set top box will work. Simple as that. Why should the general public cover it?

Also this home levy rubbish. We call it Rates and Taxes.
 
No stress. Just luv DSTV. So many great movies and sports on DSTV plus they repeat very intelligently. I have no complaints. Think again, if you dont pay, DSTV may die and then what will I watch. Just my 2 cents. Remember its the right thing to do.
