Why are they so many articles on Dstv? Why even compare Dstv to Netflix? What is the purpose of this article?

I've been using DSTV Streaming as my primary access method for DSTV for years already. Both my decoder and my satellite dish broke 2 years ago and I never bothered getting them fixed. So the only difference now really is that you don't need a decoder serial number and smartcard number to access DSTV streaming.

You'd think that by charging that much a month for streaming they'd have a similar quality to Netflix but I had to switch over to youtube last night to watch Squirrel dump on PE.

what were the excuses for the low quality streaming and high prices again? satellites and its infrastructure and rights etc.

so then why the same price and picture quality now with streaming? are they broadcasting it to themselves at a data center dish/decoder? lol

i wonder how many channels, on average, a premium subscriber uses out of everything that is made available to them.

i can get netflix, hulu, disney, espn+, vpn to name a few, and still pay less while having a far superior catalogue to choose from.

Still waiting for a sports package that doesn't cost R400+ per month.

Netflix still offers superior viewing for R99 per month. And heck, I even watch a lot of it

I do get those and more. Much better option IMO and, unlike DSTV Now, the streams are reliable.

And even better at R169

Multiple articles about the same thing. We know. Netflix doesn't do sports. Probably never will. It does MORE selection with repeats only if you want at a LESSER price.
Sheesh...how many more times must the horse get flogged?

I did a quick count of 19 Dstv articles in the last 4 weeks (possibly more), I'm sure you can work out why from that.
Coffee and muffins sessions again. Netflix bad; DSTV good.

It's a shame we have to go back to the same thing regularily. Like a DSTV repeat!

Number of articles is based on the number of net returns and in relation to target market's IQ/Retention.

My IP address wont be used to stream DSTV. I have always not bothered to link it with dstv. I enjoy plenty of websites and apps out there with better quality.

IF you have a Kodi installation, you can get Stirr TV and Pluto TV for free with thousands of crappy channels too!

The streaming only package is super expensive. Why even bother just get the dish version and get more.

The streaming package doesn't include the audio channels. What a joke.

Streaming resolution on DStv packages is 720p across all devices.

You might hit a stable magical 720p a couple of seconds per session. The rest of the time you will be continuously refreshing to figure out what is going on between the blurring.
