That's a fairly modest budget, to be honest, and I doubt you'll get anything that you actually want. Unless you're happy to scout around Gumtree.

If you have a bit more than that, most of the Xaomis are dual sim, though they mash the micro-SD slot into the same space so you have to choose a memory card or a SIM card.

We got a Samsung J2 Dual Sim with SD Card slot from Edgars I think for R1899? something like that... It's pretty good for what it needs to do and no complaints on its speed

Mmmm, we are also looking at the Doogee's at Takealot.
They have the X5 & X6 for R1399, & the Shoot 2 at R1299.00

I friend has a Doogee and after a few months it started going crazy with Malware Ads. After looking around on the internet he found they all do it and the only way around it is to load custom firmware.

I've been using Doogee phones for years. No ad's from the software that comes with the phone itself. Now when you load all those free games and some launchers, well then you are going to have problems. A bad one a few months back was APN news that was bundled with some or other "freeware".

As far as the OP. Up until a year ago most Chinese phones (like the Doogee) were real dual sim with a dedicated sd slot. But the latest ones are mostly shared sim2/sd slot. have a look on Geekbuying and you will find plenty at your price range. Just don't expect much for less than R1500 spec wise.
