Dual view sd pvr questions...

Where do i get usb cable and if you copy the files to pc what format are they in and which program to use for converting?

The USB port is disabled and you can't connect it to your pc. The content on the harddrive is encrpyted and linked to your smartcard, so even if you took out the harddrive and put it into your pc you won't be able to watch anything.

Well Multichoice use some generic PVR machines from manufacturers like UEC and Pace. They have them adapted fro use with DSTV, but there are sometimes some functions multichoice chooses not to use or activiate on the machine.

Actually they are not allowed to use those functions, because of the studios. Some other functions, like 720p video from the unprotected component output of a HD PVR, are also not allowed. Just the HDMI output is in HD. Not because of MC, but because the studios won't allow it.

The programs are recorded encrypted with the Irdeto encryption that MC uses. It is only decrypted during playback.
