Hi All,

I'm new to adsl and I want to attempt to host my own website.
I have signed up with no-ip and dyndns and so far dyndns has atleast got me somewhere.
How do I set up my Router to redirect incoming connection attempts to a server on my network? Right now if I try my dyndns address it takes me to my routers configuration utility. I'm using the standard Marconi router connected to my netwok switch with 5 pcs, only one has IIS setup on it.

Thanks in advance

You can only use your dyndns address from outside the network.

Internally you use your server IP, typically 192.xxx.xxx.xxx. The router translates incoming requests to the local address on your LAN.

The menu section is called PAT (Port Address Translation) in the router setup screens. So you need to add an entry in there to point incoming requests to your IIS machine.

Thanks,

Will give it a try.
Strange thing is, if I enter my dynDNS address from one of the networked pcs it takes me to the correct page!
