or don't use max cooling, just enough to take the edge off. I run my 12000btu inverter aircon and it sips at 250W off my 12V inverter.

Oh I read it as 1 x 48000btu but anyway, running off battery one has to learn to ration anyway until we have 100kWh of storage.
