Ok 2014 is behind us, and I've changed banks. I want to update the banking details on e-filling now already for next year so I don't run into problems then. I however can't see any place to change it

Must I go into a SARS office (Fark I hope not) or is there another way?

I can load push banking details and so on but not a new account for Personal returns... Please assist if you have done this before or know how to go about doing it?

I thought this was supposed to make things easier. Had to re-resister a week or so ago, got a notification that there was correspondence (which was a blank PDF), figured out it was supporting docs so uploaded form and banking details on the site. Next thing the profile was blocked 'cos you need to hand the docs in at SARS???? Gave it to a tax guy and am still waiting. Eish!

There's space on your return for your bank details.

Get a tax guy... Crazy to have an online facility that forces you into one of their offices. I just don't see the point.

There's also a "change banking details" link on the Home tab of the efiling website once you're logged in

*edit*
Also, uploaded my supporting docs via efiling, no problem.

Yea I noticed that, problem is 2014 return is done, dusted and spent already. Do I need to wait till next year's return and then change it? Will it then cause another headache all on it's own?

There is a banking details tab where you can load new banking details for Push fees. Or am I missing something?

Buckle up. I put in leave for tomorrow specifically to go sort this out. Had to do it last year as well but need to reconfirm my banking details for some obscure reason.

Sure, I'm driving past your neck of the woods on the way to their offices anyway :p

Certified copy of ID, proof of address (Telkom bill/Medical aid statement/Water & lights bill can be used. Pretty much nothing else. Much fun.) and 3 months' bank statement with the bank's stamp. Nothing older than 3 months.

Don't know whether they'll let me submit the forms on your behalf though...

Fark me... Seems like I'll have to make a day of it too. Maybe next year before Tax season starts. I'll put a reminder in my calendar  No way in hell I'm going there in tax season.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to it. Got most of the documentation. Last year I had to go three separate times because people constantly forgot to mention one or more document required. So much fun. This year I've done the leave thing and I'll be waiting at their door at 8:00. It's now or never. They owe me money too...

Took me an hour to change BTW, and this was with a quick audit from their side cause the payout was more than R10k

You can usually research what documents you need online before you go. That's what I did.

The call center informed me initially after querying the status of an audit. Made the mistake of assuming that they were competent.
