Uber and Bolt drivers protest in South Africa

Drivers for apps such as Uber and Bolt demonstrated outside Parliament last week to demand that e-hailing services increase their fares and decrease the commission they take.

The protestors submitted their memorandum of demand to representatives of the labour and transport departments.

If they actually follow the rules of the road, stop blocking the gate at my complex whilst waiting for customers then i might take them seriously. In Cape Town i fear a Toyota etios, corolla and polo sedan more than i fear a mini bus taxi.

They make illegal u turns over double lanes with white lines, hazard lights and stop where they want. Inconvenience everyone around them so that they can do what they need.

Mini bus taxis in cape town are less of a threat now than these a55hats

In Pretoria the road cowboys are delivery motorbikes. It is amazing how those guys simply don't give a single shizzle about road safety. The older their bikes get, the more comfortable and dangerous they get on the road. I am surprised they don't have even more accidents.

Oh, and of course all sorts of taxis.

There was one idiot practicing how to ride one of those delivery scooters in a shopping centre/fourways the other day, he crashed into a parked range rover and polo. :notworthy::mad:

These guys should be protesting at the police station.
I mean the taxis that shoot at them still operate outside the gautrain every day. Can't believe how pathetic our government is. That's probably why everyone pissed at FW. Look at the result.
