I was wondering, why don't you just make your car a taxi, and no e toll account's for you. even business's can deliver stuff for free in their "taxi's".

How do sanral define a taxi.

I wonder if you would get other perks too like being exempt from decent or safe driving styles and road laws. Pushing in, using on coming lanes, using yellow lines as lanes, stopping where we want, parking where we want and and just a general need to piss off the common motorist without consequence.

Actually that's a good idea. Sign me up too.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to pay the flat rate?
Doesn’t taxi drivers belong to associations, need public driving permits, their vehicles have to pass regular roadworthy test and be insured as such?

Edit: oober already said it.

Taxi Association costs can't be that high. PrDP's should be compulsory if you are driving for work anyway. Regular Roadworthy tests - not a bad idea for any individual/company to keep their car in healthy shape and insurance... Well, I insure my private car, hopefully others do this automatically? :D

Someone should start The F-Toll Taxi Association. Sign up members for R20. It's up to prospective members to get their licence and permit.

Don't forget the tax free fuel taxis get... That should cover any costs.

Are we talking about bikers, or taxis? :)

I don't want to let the cat out the bag but I have what would be considered a "normal" car and I also do not pay e-Tolls.

April 1st is long gone or are you serious?

I thought I was serious, but in searching for something to refer to it seems that this may be a common misconception. It seems more that the taxation of the industry is a bit of a mess anyway but they do pay the normal fuel price (and possibly collect some extra cash slips to inflate expenses and decrease taxation).

Thanks for clarifying. :)
