Good news about vouchers for e-waste

The E-waste Recycling Association (ERA) says it has plans to host another event through which it could offer incentives in exchange for handing over old appliances and devices.

It held such an event in October 2023, where participants could stand to earn up to R2,400 in Makro vouchers over two weekends.

Cash for Clunkers... many otherwise reusable equipment will be ruined because cash.

E-Waste Recycling Association is greedy for the gold they extract from electronic components (even though gold is not used that much these days)

Any veterans of this struggle? Tips for us wannabes?

How much does one get for a failed hard drive like in the article image?
Would have been R200 in the previous collection drive.

I think they'd be pretty stupid to offer the same amounts as last time. There are a lot of desperate people out there. Even if they only offered R10 per item, the queues would be just as long.

I need to keep an eye on this. I have a lot of old stuff standing in my storeroom. Wonder whether I can get some ZARs for old CRTs.
