I have an E 220 fastlink modem but cannot get it to work. My machine is AMD 64 bit running on Windows XP 32 bit.
It installs fine on my old P2 laptop also running Windows XP. Could my problem be that at I installed the VISTA HOBO lookalike at some stage and now I can't uninstall it completely?

The modem comes with 2 USB cables. The long one has 2 USB plugs in parallel on one end and must be inserted into 2 ports in the computer. The short cable only has 1. When I used the long cable, the driver files got corrupt so tried the short cable and it worked. ???
I wonder why there are 2 USB plugs on the long cable?

After downloading the driver etc. are there any other settings to be done manualy? Or can I connect immediatly after the modem and dashboard has installed?

The long cable is for additional power
For other menbers if you run Vista you need to upgrade the Modem firmware by going to vodacom site.
