E220 USB Modem for MTN

Hello

I purchase an E220 USB Modem for vodafone that works with VC, when i put a 16K MTN SIM card, i failed to connect because there was no MTN in the list of networks that i could connect to, even though i was picking up HSDPA signals.

What software upgrades do i need to make it work for MTN and VC. or do i need to buy another Modem for R2000 to achieve this. Iam using an HP pavilon Laptop with Vista. I got ugrades from Vodacom to make the modem work on Vista.

Please advice.

Hello,

I have got the Zipped files from the Huiwei website, these zipped files contain lots of other files.

What is the procedure for installing this software on my modem. And will it not interfare with the current software running on the modem at the moment.

Will this enable me to put a VC and MTN sim card and pick up both networks.
iam having problems with the vodacom network it is not reliable, and would like to have an alternative like MTN. which also has limitations with the data bundles only rechargeable once a month.

After you have unzipped the archive, run the file with the .exe extension.

And will it not interfare with the current software running on the modem at the moment.

It will replace the software currently on the card, but you can always download and install the software from Vodacom should you wish to revert.
