Intermittently when you make or receive a call either when the calls starts or anytime during the call , mention of this issue is also made on http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=32950 amongst other issues.

Those wanting this phone , I strongly suggest you all look at that forum for issues with the E90.

All phones have issues... and the call quality on my E90 is the best so far... far from any previous phone I've had.

Remember, bugs will be fixed with firmware releases. The bug's I've found so far don't even come close to the ones I had on all my initial WM phones.

on that note... you know what does irritate me though... is the actual hardware of the phone creaking... like when you're holding it... thats something firmware isn't going to fix.

No creaks on mine, although all of our E90s suffer from the problem of the keyboard touching the screen and after a few weeks leaving permanent marks. To alleviate this - we've glued additional feet rubbers to increase the gap between keyboard and screen.

It is my understanding that Nokia has now addressed this design defect and future shipments shouldn't have this problem.

they should have included a screen cover for the internal display as well as a more hard wearing one for the outside display without the "ear" that one can use to peel it off.

Been using mine for about 3 weeks now, only have one problem, making calls! Sometimes I have to redial 4-6 times before I can actually connect.

Have had this problem lately of my phone rebooting on its own. Seem to happen most often when i have bluetooth on and trying to make a call using the car kit. My have picked up a Symbian virus.
Also the battery life on mine sucks. Doesnt last more than 2 days without any major use and when i do actually push the limits, wlan, bluetooth, many calls etc i loose half the battery in about 3 hours.
Otherwise i am not too sad to leave Windows Mobile after 5 years of using it.

.... if you have wlan scan on the whole time, as well as bluetooth, that will seriously nail your battery... don't think you'd get half a day out of a WM device with the same on.

With active standby off and just using the phone sans the communicator interface , I get btw 2.5 days (60 hours) to 3.0 days (72 hours)

Lithium Polymer batteries on such a device would be a nice thing , I tend to use the speaker phone alot in the phone mode with the cover closed.

Beyond that and the initial problem of sending files via bluetooth to the common inbox in messaging and initial mms messages , the messaging app for whatever reason sorted itself out , I use TaskMan instead of the default task manager at normally have 73 mb free at any time and I make sure to close all open apps that can be closed once I've made a call , checked a contact , sent an mms and so on and so on.

Route 66 and Smart2Go work quite nicely on the small screen as well :=)

Got my E90 today ... and is in the process of setting everything up. Does anyone perhaps know if it is possible to export notes from a 9300i to the E90? I have a huge amount of notes in my 9300i that I need on my E90 and I've copied them to a newly created folder on my E90 but the E90 says it is an unknown format. I'm getting a bit concerned here ...

I'm sure Nokia will come out with a E90i or something like that soon, an improved version of the current phone.

Had the same requirement with all the notes on my 9500.
Successfully transferred them to the E90 using the DataMover free app downloaded from the Nokia site (piece of cake), Did not use DataMover to mover contacts and calendar though - just resynched new phone with Outlook.

The notes transferred to the e90 are not stored as ActiveNotes but as Notes (access/edit via the Office menu). They synch into the Outlook notes field.

However, what is interesting that I can't see where they are stored on the E90. The E90 file manager doesn't show them on the phone or card memory, nor can I see them through PC Suite. I suspect that they are on the memory card (fair bit of memory being sued there but can't see what for). Bit frustrating.

What irritates me with the E90 is that the power pin is much thinner than the previous one.
Therefore my car charger etc don't fit.
No adaptor in the box (friend got an adaptor with his N-type phone)

After a day with the E90, coming from a 9300i, it took some getting used to. My E90 has got an irritating plastic squeek from the plastic housing at the back (next to the battery cover). When one presses (lightly) on the plastic camera cover it goes click-clack as if loose. This doesn't impress me as the rest of the phone's "bodywork" seems very good and solid.
