I won't be shedding a tear for the evil empire.;)

What's so evil about them? Is it just their prices? :)

Must fess up to not knowing much about the company except that they supply games.

Bullfrog makes Dungeon Keeper. EA Purchases Bullfrog, dismantles it and produces crappy Dungeon Keeper 2 POS. Destroys the Bullfrog franchise, including the Dungeon Keeper Franchise.

this happens with almost all of the takeovers.. :(

If they not making a DK3, sell the bladdy rights to peter moleneux at LionHead atleast!

EA publishes sports games with the date of the curent year stamped on it, weak movie crossovers, endless sims addons, etc. The gaming equivalent of popcorn movies.

Just to really p** you off I read somewhere that they put the DK3 team on the Harry potter games.

this might not have anything to do with ea games, but just look at these releases.. these companies used to be so productive. Before they all got bought up

Why was it once so easy for a company to develope/publish their games, even when pc gaming was considered geeky and not embraced by the mass market.

Today when everyone has a pc and everyone is taking up gaming, so few companies are stil developing their own games..

Dungeon Keeper was one of the few games I liked

...but sadly it runs more stable on windows2000 than windowsXP.

Lest the pirates be blamed for their financial woes, it must also be kept in mind that there's a recession at the moment.

Jabberwocky - don't worry man, i'm part of a team re-making DK1, and then adapting the engine for DK3 as well.

They are losing customer because of poor products. Their biggest seller fifa 09 would have sold a lot more if they gave the pc gamer the same game as the console gamer but instead they gave the pc gamer an inferior game.

EA is in trouble because of bad business policies. From DRM to poor games.

Hopefully for them GodFather 2,sims 3 and Dragon Age can save them. But seeing as how they have upset gamers by pushing these games back due to business reasons and not gaming reasons I expect a backlash.

Also especially speaking of DA pc version they are very foolish. If they released it in the first half of the year they would have virtually no competition for the pc version while in the second half of the year there is going to be lots of competition from the likes of alpha protocal, risen, drakensang, ect. That's only counting the single player rpg's.
