When they opened the box, a little piece of paper fell out informing them that BF2142 contains software that will monitor your IP address, your surfing habits along with other "computing habits", and send this "anonymous" information to ad companies and ad servers in order to generate in-game advertisements.
Oh, I'm sure people are just going to ****ing love this. EA crosses the line yet again.
All lambasting this stupid and scary software aside, what happens if all you look at on the internet is porn? Will I be able to score a good deal on porn through playing the game? Not that I really want to, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has me way more excited. But seriously, I spend easily 90% of all my money on ****ing materials and I could really go to save a buck. If playing BF2142 will do it, then I'm all there (Yeah, like Jack Thompson would ever let that fly, you greedy little pervert. -Ed).
