Hey guys..

Can you suggest a set of earphones to use with the new 5th Generation iPod Nano? I am looking for something to use while gyming and running/jogging.

I am looking for something with those noise-cancelling buds that come in different sizes, and that will allow me to control the iPod with a controller attached to the earphone wires. Also interested in something with a clip, of sorts.

I also have a set of Senheiser earphones with the wires on the left and right at different lengths. What is the purpose of this? I find it very irritating when gyming. The wires just bounce around everywhere, and look kinda geeky, or stupid.

Is it supposed to be bettter than having equal length wires?

OK - so I found the following on Kalahari.net

Griffin Tunebuds Mobile

Not sure if the remote will work on the iPod Nano 5G. Kalahari.net says that it will work with the iPod Nano 4G.

I checked the Official Griffin Website and they say that it is compatible with both iPod Nano 4G and 5G.

Do you think it's safe to buy it from Kalahari? How do I know if it is it the exact same model? BTW - the Official Griffin Site has it for 40$. That's about R320 (1$ = R8), while Kalahari has it for R270. A good price for an import..

Macnificent has it for R400

OK - so I bought the Griffin Tunebuds Mobile from Kalahari.net for R270.

The remote works with iPod Nano 5G, and the in-ear noise reducing buds are great. Exactly what I wanted for gym. And the length of the cord on the left and right ears is the same.

I still don't understand why some earphones come with different lengths for left and right. Anybody... ?

The different length is so that the one earpiece goes BEHIND your head. I think it's stupid too.
