So I've noticed after a few months of drinking, my belly has increased in size and quite frankly I am disgusted by it. What is the easiest way to lose the fat around your belly?

Stop drinking beer. :)
Then, to lose fat, you REALLY have to burn your muscles.
Now, before you pick up the Blits and a lighter... This works great:
Get a Bicycle, as it uses balance and that burns your waist muscles, then in the mornings before you set off on your bike-road trip, do 3 sets of sit-ups (normal ones, cross-over’s, and any other way you can deplete your waist muscles without hurting your back) and then go cycling.
If you need motivation to really ride your bike like a maniac and burn those muscles... just yell "Die Swart Kat is oppad!" before you sett off. :)

Stop drinking beer, and start doing cardio. Seriously, crunches strengthen your muscles, yes, but it does very little for burning fat around your gut. The best way to get rid of fat located around your abdominal region, is by getting regular, extended exercise. Apparently walking's better for burning fat than jogging, as well, if you're relatively unfit, but then you need to make sure you walk for 20+min and not just 5min to the corner of the block and back.

I will stop drinking beer and switch to white spirits? I heard once they are less fattening? Vodka, Barcardi rum etc?

I will try what you guys suggested. Gonna be hard as I am extremely unfit :(

I can tell how i did it:

I stopped beer for obvious reasons, firstly a beer boep is actually known as a yeast boep, some people can keep a good stomach balance of yeast and good bacteria, other people the yeast takes over and swells your stomach, that is why you will see some okes who drink tons of beer with a flat stomach and others have a beer(yeast) boep.

You need to stop drinking beer and cut down on bread. You also need to eat a balanced diet. eating a good breakfast is very critical i feel, something like special k.

Cardio i would suggest jogging or an orbitrek as both work alot of muscles, cycling is also very good as is swimming. I suggest the orbitrek because for it worked really well as it tones upper and lower body.

Most important thing though is to not have another beer ever, there is no point in eating, doing some cardio and stuffing yourself full of beer. So get it into your head that beer is finished and gone for good if your serious about losing your gut.

You also need to get your mind right, if your not really prepared to do this you never will.

Do not change over to klippies and coke, try and drink something not that fattening like whiskey and water or something along those lines, as i said doing all that work and then drinking something with a fattening mixer is pointless.

Also drink plenty of water in the day, not to much but if you are thirsty have water instead of coffee or a coke, fanta etc.

O i forgot to add their is no easy way, took me 9 months of no beer, orbitrek and eating well and drinking whiskey and water and i feel have a little way to go.

Whiskey and water! My boss drinks whiskey and water and I'm forced to drink that everytime I visit his house.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong alias. I'm Picard.

Back on topic. I carefully watch my tummy. I'm scared it will grow and I know it will be a lot of hard work to get it back in shape again.

Anyway I'll also be getting a bike in December, can't wait, and I will be hitting the dirt(road :D) every weekend to do 30km or so.

Cut back on the beer, and walk, walk, walk and... walk some more! I walk on average 7.5km - 15km per day, I am lucky I can still have a beer "binge" every now and then (must be the walking) and the water that helps. YMMV!

honestly to loose a beer belly is the hardest thing you will ever do in your life, there is no real solution but one thing that stands out is cardiovascular.I have a beer belly now due to certain reasons, its not that bad as long as you can still see that six pack.

well cardio is burning fat and sit ups is not the only thing for abs,a balanced meal and 19gram fat a day content is by far the best solution.

Sit ups are a waste unless you already have a body fat % below 15, you won't be able to see the difference at all. You need to focus on cardio first, high intensity. For fat burning long steady pace is actually not that great. You want to do HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Get yourself a bike or a stationary bicycle. Start out with a 5 min warm-up slow pace, then go as fast as you can for 30 seconds, rest for 1 1/2 min, 30 seconds as fast as you can and rest for 1 1/2 mins. You're done. If you're as unfit as you say you are you'll be damn near dead after this. So while 8 mins of exercise doesn't sound like much it'll burn heaps of energy for up to a day after you've stopped.

Work your total time up to about 15 mins of HIIT. With your rounds changing to 1 min as fast as you can, 2 mins slow for 5 rounds. Think of it this way: sprinters = ripped, marathon runners = skinny fat.

Drink 2-3 liters of water a day. Stay away from beer. Stay away from simple carbs and sugars after 8pm and try to restrict them to after exercise. Try to eat 6 small meals during the day instead of 3 big ones to keep your blood sugar steady and ward off cravings. Exercise in the morning, it'll keep your metabolism higher during the day.

All in all though, you didn't get your boep over night, you're not going to lose it overnight. Your body needs time to adapt to any new exercise program and you might not see any results for the first week or two.

Ok how does one have a beer boep and a six pack exactly? mostly guys with beer boeps are not fat like i was not fat just had a bloated stomach? Do you mean when you burn off the fat / bloating there is still a six pack?

Well i cant really explain it to but some people have a beer belly but you can still see their abs strangely enough ,its cause the layer of fat on the bloated abdomin section is still relatively thin.I mean if i tighten my abdomen i can grab pinch about 2 inches. My cousin told me sometime that my tummy is so hard, and she thinks its weird cause most people with a beer belly is soft.
Anyways,hit the aerobics hard.
