Johannesburg - Their journey took them through the night: a coach ride of nearly 900km from Mtontsasa in the Eastern Cape to Joburg.

When the two men arrived in Joburg, early Monday morning, they figured out how to catch a taxi to Centurion.

In Centurion, they found the office they were looking for, and there the village elder and son, who claimed his father was assassinated, waited.

They didn’t have an appointment, but they came to the offices of AfriForum’s Private Prosecution Unit because, like the family of murdered Bafana Bafana football captain Senzo Meyiwa, they had lost faith in the police.

The two men were not alone.

In the days after AfriForum announced they would assist the Meyiwa family in investigating the murder, 118 people approached the civil rights organisation for help in solving their crimes.

Afriforum are gonna get swamped and people are gonna be disappointed.
Yes they will be swamped. Also, with proper resource management, intel and sharing info with the cops, coupled with decent and proper investigations, there's a 'killing' to be made in proper prosecution.

What we already see is they're not going it alone, they're getting the cops involved at a higher level. What makes this different and gives it a chance of success, is that they have knowledgeable people who can cry foul if the other side tries playing games.

Doubt it, afriforum isn't run by a bunch of buffoons.

They do not have the resources to take on a lot of cases, ie swamped. Please point out where I called them buffoons?

They most definitely aren't. What is will also expose is how many are disappointed by the cops. A metric. In turn the problem is to get continued feedback, you have to do something to help the people.

Rather sad the only people willing to help 'the voters' are a group of people who constantly get labelled racists and thieves ;)
Wow - afriforum must be happy that blacks such as you are realizing this now. By that I mean non-afrikaans of course.
