Urgh, I haven’t used eHomeAffairs in years, and I immediately ran into an error. Anybody have experience with this?
My passport has expired back in 2019 already, so I select “Expired” as the reason on the form and then click Submit.
That takes me to the payment page, which wants to charge me an extra R600 because I’ve got “no reason yet”. Surely the cost for a standard passport isn’t R1200 when the old passport has expired?

Hello!I I appreciate it's been a while since you posted this but I'm also having the issue of complete process pending issue, would really appreciate if you managed to resolve the issue and willing to share how. Thanks!**If anyone here could shed some light on the below - Let me know, please.
- Application for Identity Card. [Lost Card] - done
- Supporting documents - Done
- Payment made through FNB and correctly - done.
- Appointment booking [Through bank branch] successful - with confirmation mail received with ref no etc.
What tripping me up is on the DHA portal itself:
1 - Under my application history - identity card application - its states "Back Office Processing in Process" - I assume this due to waiting on biometric capture? Something to worry about or normal?

2 - Under payments for the ID application - the status is 'Error Confirmation Pending' - This hasn't changed in two days. I have a reference number for payment / date of payment. Is this fine?

Should being able to make a booking clear all of the above up? Am i good to go, dont want to pitch up to the FNB branch on the day and get handed off due to something not aligning.
Or should i phone the Home Affairs Helpline on 0800601190 to ensure everything on track?
Thanks in advance

Green book until forced to change, weird looks or notAnyone managed to get a bank branch slot for new ID card application recently? I paid the R140 but no slots available. Tried all the "tricks" but to no avail. I'm still walking around with my old green book and starting to get weird looks when asked to present my ID. Starting to question my existence......
What error?Hi all,
I have sumbitted a application for a passport but as soon as the payment went through, I noticed an error on my application and as soon as I try and edit it it does not allow to re-sumbit because the payment went through already, can someone perhaps assist me into what the correct way forward could be?
I meant, what error did you make on your application?
ooo sorry my mistake I forgot to say that I am married, so not sure if it will have a significant impact on the passport , since no detail changed on my side really.I meant, what error did you make on your application?
