I really disagree with this practice.

However with regard to the consummation

They said that the father had set a verbal condition by which the marriage is not consummated for another 10 years, when the girl turns 18.

I sure his word is his bond

This sound like human trafficking to me

I can't understand it either. Whole governments are afraid of offending Muslims, but everybody can say what they want about Christians and nobody says anything. If it was then only a peaceful religion like all the others why are so many people scared to say anything about them while all other religions are fair game?

So lets see this.. Saudi people do it so its part of the religion? Does that make what the priests did part of the religion too? because i thought it was just an abuse of power/situation where you use laws to achieve something bad.

Maybe i was wrong, maybe the christian religion is responsible for the priests and not the priests themselves? That to me is a silly notion.. but i guess some people think its 'ok'.
