So lets see this.. Saudi people do it so its part of the religion? Does that make what the priests did part of the religion too? because i thought it was just an abuse of power/situation where you use laws to achieve something bad.

Maybe i was wrong, maybe the christian religion is responsible for the priests and not the priests themselves? That to me is a silly notion.. but i guess some people think its 'ok'.

I guess you're referring to the molesting of children by a small number of priests - that is condemned in the Christian religion AFAIK.

The issue is that, women and girls are treated as commodities in these cases. It is as if the men in the region were not born by women. Anybody born of a woman should want to cherish and defend the women in their life IMO..

LOL yes, it's the belief of many that girls mature earlier than boys. Even here is SA, the legal age for engaging in sex is 16 for girls & 18 boys

According to Wikipedia:

Since 1 January 2008, the age of consent in South Africa is 16 years, regardless of sexual orientation and gender-neutral.

I don't think they could justify having different standards anyway.

I could be wrong here cos I haven't checked in a long while, but the last I knew, gays & lesbians could adopt children but can't really get married.
So yeah, that's just the way we work here, didn't you know?
