9. Where to buy them nowadays..

Let's just say you've never really seen a sunrise until you've hiked up Table Mountain on a breakfast of shrooms.

How many of your office staff run around tripping balls on hallucinogenics is the real question though ;)
Microdosing is on the up, especially between those that have become disillusioned by big pharma and mental health. So possibly, quite a few.

I've read good things about microdosing. Issue is where to get a continued consistent source supply though.

LSD is not addictive, nor are Mushrooms (psilocybin is the main ingredient that produces the hallucinogenic effects). Even "addictive" drugs like Cocaine aren't particularly addictive in comparison to other common drugs like coffee (caffeine), nicotine, or sugar, although its demonised quite a bit..

This is a good read on that - http://transform-drugs.blogspot.co.za/2009/06/report-they-didnt-want-you-to-see.html

As a rule, people don't get addicted to drugs because they are addictive, they get addicted to drugs due to the social situations that they are in.

Yes, magic mushrooms are illegal.

Ok here is some clinical data from a scientific journal about pyschedelics (LSD and mushrooms) and mental health.

Data drawn from years 2001 to 2004 of the National Survey on Drug Use and Health consisted of 130,152 respondents, randomly selected to be representative of the adult population in the United States.

21,967 respondents (13.4% weighted) reported lifetime psychedelic use. There were no significant associations between lifetime use of any psychedelics, lifetime use of specific psychedelics (LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, peyote), or past year use of LSD and increased rate of any of the mental health outcomes. Rather, in several cases psychedelic use was associated with lower rate of mental health problems.

Conclusion:

We did not find use of psychedelics to be an independent risk factor for mental health problems.

Psychedelic drugs are not addictive. It's not something you want to do all the time. It is intense. I've done shrooms only 8 or 9 times in 20 years since I first used any mild altering substance. They were some of my most profound experiences, but not something I feel the need to do much.
