Election results: South African May 2024

I don't get the whole, they won't work together thing. They have plenty of options.
They can agree that Rama and Zuma step down and leave it to others to pillage. They can split the entities and stay out of each others way. They can just agree to split the loot etc.

So many options and possibilities.

DA+ANC nationally with key DA ministerial positions in exchange for ANC to keep some provinces, like KZN, along with IFP, and Gauteng, or even vice versa. A lot of bargain chips this time around. Indeed, a very interesting election.

It's not just national now, it's provincial as well. A lot at stake everywhere.

We all speculated on how long Zuma will last.. I wonder how the infighting in that party will affect him.
But nobody has said anything about how bad Juju looks. Yes he isn't a telly tuby anymore but he doesn't look healthy at all that gastric bypass surgery is not doing him good.

Problem is with the fighting and sabotage will the country benefit or will we just be left in the dust of the fighting.

Panyaza + DA? Don't see that working too well. Panyaza will problem bed up with EFF/PA and possibly MK as he'll need at least that many to work it. There's also ASA who may be willing to trade their soul for power.

Yes, what the heck! Was all excited to see how far the counting had progressed overnight, but it's regressed.
These people battle to spell so keeping the website going was going to be a challenge.
Have a look at just below the presenters left shoulder. And this is on an international news feed.
What a joke the world must think we are.

So it really depends on national level I think. Remember, for MK to work with ANC, Ramaphosa needs to go. We don't know if that will be their policy provincially and nationally, or just nationally.

While the EFF seems next logical, they can only help so much on some provincial levels. They don't have enough votes everywhere.

I'm being very optimistic here, but the DA would have the numbers to support the most favourable outcome national and provincial in a give and take with the ANC.

This highly depends on if the ANC is willing to sacrifice Ramaphosa or not.

If there's one thing MK won't be doing it is getting in to bed with their old brothers. You can write that option off.
