The carbon footprint of a Ford Mondeo before reaching your driveway is 17 tons. Would've been nice if they were a little more balanced and also looked at other considerations such as energy efficiency of electric vs combustion engines including maintenance and the localised impact of emissions especially in high traffic areas. As technology improves especially in battery/energy storage systems we should see a greater impact.
