it's super pathetic when people make politics their identity. they use a bad political meme as their profile pics unironically. they start fights with people using bad memes.... etc.
also, the democrats may have started the kkk, but they have since distanced themselves from it and it's the republicans and their uneducated supporters that have embraced it fully now. what you're essentially doing with that meme is saying thanks to the democrats from 160 years ago for starting the club that you enjoy being in. it's no secret that the kkk, the
proud boys, and every openly racist american is a huge republican fan. the republican party targets the dumb, which is why you and all those people feel so at home there. you don't want a smart person leading you, you want someone "that is like one of us" and the fact that you picked a racist barely millionaire as bigly "successful" as trump who can't say difficult words like "yesterday" makes "yuge" sense.
