I don't understand the hatred.
Musk is only successful because his investors (who vote with their money and who are fickle) think that Tesla and SpaceX are successful and that Tesla and SpaceX will make them some money. Nothing more, nothing less.

Same reason(s) some scientists had to steal corpses and secretly take a look inside?

I think he gets the flak as a scapegoat because he's the richest and has a strong social media presence. My perception is the general hatred/mood towards Elon in the US is more rooted at the wealth imbalance there and the rich in the US using tax/off-shore loopholes, government subsidies for companies, living off stock backed credit lines not capital gains and being taxed from it, general anger at the massive corporate bailouts/stimulus during covid over small business/populace and the misperceived "Apartheid money" from the Zambian mine his father had some shares in that people falsely (I believe) Elon personally profited and boosted off from as an adult.

From a video posted on another thread I got the impression that Elon is a con-artist extraordinaire. Pratically all but Tesla motors were vapourware and Tesla Motors is not really that special with batteries created by Panasonic.

So he's been conning NASA with imaginary rockets?
No, as the video explained Musk sold the idea of reusable launching parts but stated that it would cost 5 to 7 million if it works but 50 to 60 million if it does not, just like conventional approaches. Turned out it is costing 50 to 60 million so he was selling hype again.

Your video sounds like a load of shìt (quelle surprise), the contracts would have been signed for an amount and it's well recorded that NASA are saving a lot of money now that the rockets are working as expected.

At the other end of the industry’s payload spectrum, companies are working to achieve economies of scale with heavier rockets. Among the 10 most-launched rockets, the most affordable on a per-kilogram basis are SpaceX ’s Falcon 9 and Roscosmos Proton M, both able to lift 20,000 kilograms (44,092 pounds) or more, according to a recent Federal Aviation Administration report. The most cost-efficient overall is the 63,800-kilogram-capacity Falcon Heavy, which successfully test-launched earlier this year.

Not my video, somebody else posted it, and I did say "seems to be"

Hyperloop not taking off though

Hyperloop is a concept, technology isn't quite there for it yet. You do realise that inventions can be ahead of their time and take years or even decades to be refined?

The hyperloop concept has been "open-sourced" by Musk and SpaceX, and other companies or organizations have been encouraged to freely advance the technology, preferably in collaborations.[11] TUM Hyperloop set the hyperloop speed record of 463 km/h (288 mph) in July 2019[12][13] at the pod design competition hosted by SpaceX in Hawthorne, California.[14]Virgin Hyperloop conducted the first human trial in November 2020 at its test site in Las Vegas, reaching a top speed of 172 km/h (107 mph).[15]

And to add, you really do need to start questioning and researching, just believing random crap you see without question isn't a clever way to broaden your knowledge.

Yes, and you won't even be bothered to watch the video in the first place which makes some valid points. And you are assuming I falled for it all hook, line and sinker while I did proclaim a possibility,

Why would I waste time on a video when it's apparent just from your description that it is a load of crap?
