My perception is the general hatred/mood towards Elon in the US is more rooted at the wealth imbalance there and the rich in the US using tax/off-shore loopholes, government subsidies for companies, living off stock backed credit lines not capital gains and being taxed from it, general anger at the massive corporate bailouts/stimulus during covid over small business/populace
I don't believe that Musk would be doing this, he even stated so himself.
But yes, the Karl Marxs' of the world love to generalise and what better scapegoat than the world's most wealthy man.
and the misperceived "Apartheid money" from the Zambian mine his father had some shares in that people falsely (I believe) Elon personally profited and boosted off from as an adult.
Yeah, even if it were true, what exactly do they expect him to do about it? If you discover that your great grandfather was Idi Amin, what does the world want you to do, cut off your own body parts as penance?
