Elon Musk continues firing Twitter engineers that criticize him on Twitter

What began as the firing of two longtime Twitter Inc. engineers after they criticised their new boss has turned into a purge, as Elon Musk clamps down on internal and external dissent.

In the past 24 hours, an estimated dozen or so employees have been let go after openly rebuking Musk, who has called himself a “free speech absolutist,” according to two people familiar with the matter.

... and traditional media will make a big story about any crap they can find that paints a negative picture of Twitter.

“As the former tech lead for timelines infrastructure at Twitter, I can confidently say that this man has no idea wtf he’s talking about.”

To publicly say about your boss and expect no consequences ... ouch

Insubordination is different from constructive criticism.

"Yo boss, item X doesnt work as intended because Y. I have experience in X, and suggest Z to remedy."

"Yo boss, you dumb lol"

Note, the insubordination is not censored, but rather left public, acknowledged, and acted upon.

Weird how with free speech people are held accountable to what they disseminate.

Imagine if you paid $44B to buy a company that is losing money, you've got a bunch of bloated overheads that you needs to trim.
You are the new boss and you need to change things to the ways you want at work, now sure you want some opinions from existing employees on how to turn things around, but when they openly saying that you know $hit on a public place for everyone in the world to see, can you really just let it go? Your employees won't listen to your orders in the future if you just let these go unpunished now.
Musk's mistake was calling himself the free speech absolutist, but surely we have all learnt by now that what people calls themselves should normally be taken with a pinch of salt, especially if it comes from a billionaire with a huge ego...

Well, for the first time in the history of twitter I have found it worth watching.

Elon walking in carrying a sink and then throwing employees down the stairs and under the bus.

The replies are gold though

True. It pains me to see people resort to this level of hatred though. What's even sadder is that I see many households instill these values in their kids, brainwashing them with stories etc.

Full disclosure my grandparents and parents were victims of that era, I wasn't even born in that time, yes there is a knock-on effect but how can my generation speak about the struggle as if they physically experienced it?

Sometimes honesty is the best policy.

No point in candy coating it.
