"invited bullying" - wow, you really epitomise the exact unevolved thuggish society of SA that people leave to get away from.

You are in his view that he has never started it? To be honest, I am even questioning his multiple "hardcore" street brawls.

Bullying is a problem and it really only stops when you standup or worse. Look at the US with access to guns, that's worse.

I was bullied as a youngster, only stopped at around 14/15 and that probably the confidence gained because the last bully I took my bike lockup chain to him after his last attempt. Whipped him across his back with it, never again.

From then I'd standup and damn the consequences, most bullies will back down from someone who is going to go full out, they want weak targets.

I was the youngest or close to the youngest at every school I went to. Basically had to grow a third eye behind my head everywhere I went. Harm was potentially everywhere you weren't looking.

Even if it wasn't bullying, it would be opportunistic fun at your expense.

Probably explains why I don't have any ability to socialize. Can't even piss in a public restroom, people around me put me on edge even decades later.

Can relate.

People need to remember that Elon used social media, and its weight, to label a person a paedophile without having it substantiated. How that is not bullying, I don't know.

I respect Musk, and I admire his determination and perseverance, but I highly doubt that he never started, or rather invited, bullying back in the day in one way or the other. Bullying is a strange phenomenon, and it has its catalysts, but mostly it has to do with circumstance.
Bullies do usually not need an excuse to bully. However in Elon's case he was often the instigator verbally.

He also recalled a time when Elon made a hurtful comment to a schoolmate about his father's suicide.

The boy pushed Elon down a staircase at school, injuring him so badly he had to be hospitalised.

When he heard what had happened, Errol wanted to defend his son.

"But I realised Elon overstepped the mark with this little boy. I had to drop it," he said.

And on the Internet - Especially on myBB!

I am always delighted to deal with bullies, but it is the stalkers which get to me. I don’t have an issue with strangeness or weirdness, since I am pretty strange too, but when people get personal and start digging into privacies… that I don’t like, and the internet has opened this box.

Some really odd people out there.

Elon himself was a Bully. He made fun of a classmate's father suicide which got him in hospital. Heck he wants to fight with Johnny Depp. He attends Hollywood parties to pickup women

Bullies choose the weakest person. Elon might be nerdy but he is 6ft 2in so not a small guy that can get bullied. More like his mouth got him in trouble.

How tall were you and how much did you weigh at school? That might explain why you were the victim.

That is what I said, it is in his personality. However, it doesn't excuse physical assault.
Not his personality per say, but Asperger's. As someone that has also been diagnosed with it, I can attest that bullying of people who are not neuro typical is rife because of ignorance. I endured years of it myself.

Also, making inappropriate comments unfortunately happens, like with the suicide. I have done a lot of it myself. It is not that we are trying to be inappropriate or funny, but more that we struggle understanding social interactions and queues and end up saying to wrong thing at the wrong time.

I have written my years of bullying, or more accurately discrimination, of as nothing more than ignorance from small minded people.

Have to agree with others here.
He moved between schools and still kept getting "bullied".
Then hear about incidents of taunting someone about their parents suicide.

Yeah, let's just say he almost certainly was "bullied" because he verbally abused people.

My uncle said he worked with his father Errol and the guy was a total f#cking dick who disrespected people.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was what Elon emulated and got him into trouble.

I don't condone bullying but if someone's father committed suicide and you basically verbally bullied them, you got what you deserved when they pushed you down some stairs.

to be fair, I've been to George, the mind numbing boredom can make any sane person go postal if they don't escape quickly

I have to say, the school is weak. Going by their statement,

Google translated:

Some learners record these incidents and negative behaviour on their cell phones and then spread it among themselves and on social media.

It is regrettable that there are people in the community who wait for an opportunity to post these types of incidents on social media and thereby spread negativity, seek sensation and put institutions in a bad light and discredit them. However, these individuals do not deserve our time and respect.

They need to keep their own house in order, to cast the problem on those who bring these matters to the public's attention is spineless. I also doubt that it was an isolated incident.
