Tim Sweeney

Today: Lost a court case, climbed a mountain, read hundreds of pages of legal papers, wrote some code. Just as determined as ever to fight on until there is genuine developer and consumer freedom in software, and fair competition in each mobile platform software component.

Elon Musk

Didn’t you sorta win?

Please challenge Tim of Apple to trial by combat

Here is Musk almost a year later willing to take the challenge he proposed ;)

Tell me why Musk is doing business with China if he’s such a big supporter of free speech
It's weird that you think Apple, which is actively stifling a protest on behalf of the CCP, with Tesla selling mass-produced electric cars and not affecting free speech.

If Apple dropped the Twitter app from their app store it would basically be the end of Twitter as we know it imo.

You are required to abide by the state if you want to do business with the people, or not?

Yes, you have to, but is it humane to isolate ordinary people without due process? China is a market with needs and demands, and they are supplied. Frameworks: everyone has to abide by them wherever you conduct your business.

They shouldn't be allowed to decide what apps owners can run on their hardware. They can decide what goes into their store, but should allow users to install from wherever they like. That's probably coming whether Apple likes it or not. I'll happily support laws forcing Apple to open up the platform. If they don't like it they can get out of the phone, tablet and watch business.
No, Apple is a private company. Government should not interfere to that extent.

Apple can do as they please, it is their own ecosystem, and they don't compete directly with Twitter hence anti-competition rules aren’t as elaborate unless they promote an alternative to Twitter. The best Musk can do is to better promote Twitter uses on the web and by enriching its PWA.

Musk and Cook are both hypocrites, but it is beyond bizarre for the CEO of an unprofitable business to be trolling potential customers / investors.

If were Cook, I would consider Musk to be an unreliable business partner.

But why? It can still be installed on a Mac or another Apple Product thru the PKG file?
