You really think your average Joe is going to manually install apps? It would continue working for people who have it installed already but most people wouldn't bother installing if it wasn't available on the app store. But why? It can still be installed on a Mac or another Apple Product thru the PKG file?
Musk has already shown that Twitter usage is at an all time high, so there's also that. A great opportunity for smaller fries needing to advertise.Musk and Cook are both hypocrites, but it is beyond bizarre for the CEO of an unprofitable business to be trolling potential customers / investors.
If were Cook, I would consider Musk to be an unreliable business partner.
moneyTell me why Musk is doing business with China if he’s such a big supporter of free speech
Why'd you post a black square.
Fixed.

That's why @konfab made a good point. The PWA version of Twitter is basically done. You really think your average Joe is going to manually install apps? And it also doesn't change the free speech situation. But mostly money.money
The salient point right here. Elon is so dense he doesn't even see how confused this tweet is.Free speech Musk is upset that Apple chooses to spend its money elsewhere....![]()
Elons own tweet was posted form an iPhone. Tell me agin how this genius is going to save humanity from tyranny.lolz at all the twitter replies from iphone saying twitter should be kicked from the app store.

It's going to stop working because it would need an update also. You really think your average Joe is going to manually install apps? It would continue working for people who have it installed already but most people wouldn't bother installing if it wasn't available on the app store.
I'm specifically talking about iPhones here. It's a different kind of user. With all the dodgy phones I get these days, i thought it was becoming more prevalent to just go to the site and get whatever they recommend

Chromium based browsers already allow sites to be "installed" as PWAs.
Twitter would still lose users, of course. However, a lot of users, if told, can use the option and use Twitter near-identical to the native app again.
They use it as their Twitter Lite app they offer on the Play Store.
It'd help quite a lot to mitigate the app being removed.
I assume Chromium browsers on Apple can do this?
If not, the site still works extremely well as a normal mobile page.

Sadly they do still have their own safari browser as well, not just webkit. You assume wrong, as all browsers on iOS use WebKit, one thing we can all agree is dumb AF.
Oh, where did it all go wrong. The salient point right here. Elon is so dense he doesn't even see how confused this tweet is.

WebKit is the bane of my existence. It is why I hate all iSheep. You assume wrong, as all browsers on iOS use WebKit, one thing we can all agree is dumb AF.
Only Safari allows proper PWA, because Apple doesn't want any competition. That's why @konfab made a good point. The PWA version of Twitter is basically done.

Usage does not equal revenue. That has been Twitter's long time problem.Musk has already shown that Twitter usage is at an all time high, so there's also that. A great opportunity for smaller fries needing to advertise.
