I mean, he is definitely having a moment, for a while now.
Source (since I know you are all such studious intellectuals): https://www.oracle.com/cx/advertising/brand-safety/what-is-brand-safety/How do you define brand safety?
Brand safety is the practice of protecting a brand's reputation and keeping it from appearing in unsafe environments. Its focus is to align your brand with other positive, authoritative, and non-confrontational brands.
So Twitter was totally safe before last month?Maybe it would be worthwhile for some users on this forum to understand a very basic marketing principle: Brand Safety:

With this context it should be very clear why Apple has slowed down advertising on Twitter and why it might be a good idea to remove the app from the App Store.
Let's spell it out for the 'free thinker' community: having you brand featured alongside tweets containing the n word or holocaust denial or hate focused on the LGBTQIA+ community is not brand safe as you risk alienating customers. Allowing an application that provides access to such content, unmoderated could have a similar impact.
The fact that Elon doesn't know this and thinks that Tim Cook directly makes these decisions as opposed to leaving such things to his marketing dept. and agencies is hilarious and embarrassing. You can tell why Apple is a trillion dollar company with liquidity into the hundreds of billions while Elon sits on a pile of funny money: it's because Apple is a properly run company managed by sane individuals who know what they are doing while Elon is a chronically online man-baby spending his days tweeting nonsense and picking fights with giants.
Another observation pertaining to brand safety is that if Apple, a trillion dollar company with the best lawyers, marketers and creative minds on the planet intrinsically understand that the public opinion of the changes at Twitter will hurt their brand then you can trust that that research is sound and that the vast majority of people are not alt-right neckbeards who hate gays, women and PoC. Look at the US midterms if you wish to shore up your faith in humanity, the right is losing the 'cUlTuRe WaR!!!1', and they are panicking.
Not the point but nice whatabout-man.So Twitter was totally safe before last month?
Troll of the Year award?Isn't it beautiful though

It's interesting how perspectives can differ: according to this article, Elon is crying to Tim Cook about losing ad-revenue while Tim Cook is dead silent and you see Elon causing people to cry? How did you get there from here?Isn't it beautiful though

Ok, my apologies I thought it was pretty clear. Totally fair to ask the question. It's not a whatabout.
Just trying to understand your point. But I guess you fell apart there.

Brand Safety is pretty much all about public opinion, whatever isn't usually centres around risk and compliance.
So even if Dorsey still ran Twitter and made the changes that Elon has it would not be brand safe fro Apple. I guess my further point is that Elon is such a narcissist, and so stupid, small and uninformed that that he thinks this is Tim Cook taking a swipe at him personally as opposed to running a business the way it should be run.
Even a halfwit should be able to deduce that this s why Twitter had all these things in place to begin with: ad-revenue. LOL, even when he sees the damned thing going away he still cannot get his head around the fact that the previous management had already learned this lesson!
Elon is laughably out of his depth and it's really starting to show.
There I was hoping you might learn something.I'm actually just seeing your usual hate and stupid based posts.
You just put more effort into it than usual.
So was I. But you're still a hate filled bigot. So nothing new. There I was hoping you might learn something.![]()
