Elon Musk wants to use natural gas for Starship rockets

Elon Musk became the richest man in the world thanks to enthusiasm for Tesla Inc.’s sleek electric cars -- and the company’s stratospheric stock price.

But while Musk is perhaps the most well known clean energy CEO, SpaceX, his other company, is likely to rely on drilling for natural gas to power Starship, the new spacecraft and rocket designed to carry humans to the moon, Mars and beyond.

Forget natural gas Elon.
All you need is to connect pipes to the faces of the SA Government, and you will have all the gaseous energy you could ever need.
The only prob with this excellent idea is that I won't see a damn cent of that 100mill. Guavament ken be having it all.

Elon Musk wants to use methane (CH₄) (aka natural) gas for Starship rockets

FTFY.
Natural Gas is mostly methane.
SpaceX Raptor engine is a methane-fueled rocket engine
The choice of methane (CH₄) makes sense as methane can be made on Mars via Sabatier process.
PV electrolysis of carbon dioxide, which, when mixed with water produces methane.

In terms of the rest of the article about drilling it's mostly speculation as methane is cheap.
I think they just want 806-acre site which sits near Boca Chica Starship facilities to expand the buffer when testing.

Just feed the astronauts beans, eggs and chilli...end result is plenty of "natural gas" for propulsion
