Big Twitter mystery — Elon Musk needs to raise R330 billion in cash

Elon Musk and Twitter Inc. reached an agreement for the world’s richest man to buy the social networking platform for $44 billion, resolving the pressing question of whether the company’s board would consent to the leveraged buyout deal.

On Musk’s side, though, there remains a mystery: How is he going to cover the $21 billion equity portion of the transaction that he’s personally guaranteed?

He will just sell the tears from all the LibTards on eBay....funds raised in 48 hours max.

He is worth $260+ billion I'm sure he'll be able to get a loan.
He's worth that based on stocks that are not actualized, doubt you could take a loan that size against stocks and banks would take a while to organize that much cash. Think he could maybe get 20% of stock price loan, but I think it's more likely he will try and sell shares, they took a 9% hit today. I do wonder how he's going to handle this as he just tanked the tesla stock and it could be considered insider trading, and he still has to deal with the fine regarding not disclosing how many Twitter shares he bought before.

Hmm, so this whole Twitter rigmarole was just another way for him to meddle with Tesla's share price.

In the last earnings call, EM was just granted share options at $70 - worth about $20b
If the prevailing price drops it makes his gain less and tax less.

I wish I had these 1st world finance problems instead I get 3rd world load shedding.
