Email down 18/5/2006

Ok. working again. After a restart. But riddle me this batman: I have 7 email accounts. 6 of them work fine except for sentech. The obvious deduction would be that sentech mail server is down. But low and behold after a restart it works again.

I think Winston Smith and Bill gates got together and orgistrated this whole "restart to get sentech working again" feature. What would make Outlook not want to receive mail from 1 out of 6 accounts???

I appologise to sentech for posting so quickly that their mail server is down, but something smells funny.
 
Don't know if it's related, but I continually and seemingly randomly get authentication i.e. 'incorrect username or password' errors when checking mail on my Sentech account. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Anyone else have that?

I get it all the time... luckily I don't use my Setech account for anything...:eek:
 
Headend, you should visit proasm.com/wireless/downloads.html to up that firmware of yours (if you want to)

(Not that it has anything to do with your mail probs, of course. It's just a little something I noticed in your stats) :)

I've been having the email problem as well lately. Seems better this week sofar though.

Getting the following error (on my MyWireless email account only) this morning:

Task 'pop.sentechsa.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR incorrect password or account name'

www.sentech.co.za as well as www.sentechsa.com is down.

Luckily http://mail.sentechsa.com is accessible -- using my "incorrect password or account name"... :p
