You have to change your SMTP server when you connect on your E220 to be able to send. On Vodacom it would be smtp.vodacom.co.za
Also the email address that you are sending from must be authorised to be able to send on that server. I know Vodacom also accepts email from MWEB.

set up your outgoing mail server to mail.mtn.co.za and check if it works

All e-mail will work if it's POP3

You use your same POP3 server address and details as that is the server your getting your e-mails from.

The only thing that will change is the SMTP server. the server your mail is being sent from. MTN = mail.mtn.co.za

Setup multiple email accounts , disable pop3 on the new account and add the address of the smtp server you're going to use , once that is done , change the friendly name to something that refers to the type of connection for eg like MTN HSDPA or Telkom ADSL and make the smtp servers match that descriptions with regard to actual server names and voila.

If you're confused then PM me and I will help you out.

See links below for steps if you don't come right ...
