Never could manage to get Emule working properly. Quick return on searches but crappy downloads. I think it bases your priority (don't confuse this with Telkom's bandwidth priority) on how many uploads you have made to other users. With Telkom ADSL, you simply cannot allow other people to download stuff from your PC, it costs YOU money... Thus your rating will remain low...

Cheers

Just joined today. For the amount we pay for ADSL, 3GB is utterly ridiculous paticularly when you hit that limit and then discover that you are downloading at an incredibly low speed. I wouldn't have that problem if my speed was the equivalent of ISDN and feel the whole thing is a rip-off as there was no limit on ISDN!

Has anybody had any success with emule yet?

My current settings are:
Hard source limit: 100
Max connections: 100
UDP port disabled
Using nocap socks proxy
Serverlist from http://ed2k.has.it

Downloads are total crap. Anyone have better results?

Thanks,
E

No problem with emule, getting high id, using firewall..

Speeds are just CRAP the past month and a half. Maybe Telkom screwed it up or its the virusses going around past month and a half?

I can upload at 25K a sec but only download at 6!?@#!@?#!

I have found emule and ed2k to be running at almost dial up speeds. I tried different ports etc with no joy. After lots of tinkering by eremos it was only getting a top speed of about 1.2kbps. I am capped and am using the NO CAP proxy with 256/50 contention. Now that the new port (6552) is open its got better. 10 - 15.
