Bit of a pointless hack for most but if you want to enable the same chime that your iPad/iPhone makes when it's connected to external power open up your terminal window and enter:

Code:
defaults write com.apple.PowerChime ChimeOnAllHardware -bool true; open /System/Library/CoreServices/PowerChime.app &

to disable it again enter:

Code:
defaults write com.apple.PowerChime ChimeOnAllHardware -bool false;killall PowerChime

Awesome thanks! I wondered if it was possible as I saw on a post that the new MacBook does this.
