Got him!
KG!
KG!
That could be argued as Duminy has hardly set the world alight after a great debut series. However anyone questioning Rabada is a dumbass.
PS: I'm all for Duminy's inclusion but he needs to get over his off spin hurdles. It's been way too long. And he needs to start bowling more since that is one of the justifications for him being in the team...
TBH with a specialist spinner in the team and Elgar as a back up spinner, I cannot see why JP was selected. Either Stiaan or Rilee or even Heino Kuhn would have been a better bet. Or they could have gone the "quota" route and brought Alviro straight back into the mix... great 203 he scored this week!!
That is why it is key that we find a seam bowling all rounder.Catch 22...our batting has been poor so we have to pick 7 batters but without Steyn and Philander our bowling lacks consistent threat. By rights, if our batting was where it should be, we should be playing 5 bowlers when Steyn especially isn't available. The rest aren't good enough to take 20 wickets fast enough or cheaply enough. Rabada's emergence is very timely....he's badly needed.

Guy like Dwaine Pretorius might be worth a go.
I think he will NEVER represent South Africa again.Wayne Parnell had potential.
Something is wrong with our coaching system if they can't turn a guy like that into a decent test player.
Agree. He has all the potential, but something went wrong.I think he will NEVER represent South Africa again.

I worry about his workload. I worry that he could face the same issues which Mfuneko Ngam so many moons ago.
Rabada's workload is unfortunate in that the balance of the bowling department fails to get wickets. The lad looked tied toward the end. Just why Morkel or Piedt couldn't get wickets? A spin bowler should be able to hold an end if called on to do so. Bowl with control. None of that today.
It's the same system that's gifted is the likes of Rabada and De Kock. ParnellWayne Parnell had potential.
