lol, after he gave Anderson stick in the run-up to the test...always smarter to keep it shut, AB.
"Finally Anderson has an opportunity to bowl at ABD!" And boy did he take it, Malan

Anderson to de Villiers, OUT, booming in-ducker from Anderson, rapped on the pads... and up goes the finger! De Villiers reviews, did he hit it? No, replays clearly show it beating the inside edge, thumped the front pad and Hawk-Eye has it demolishing leg stump! Another two-ball duck for de Villiers, he has to go... "Was that quick enough for you?" was surely the rejoinder from Anderson. That was a snorting delivery

Anderson to de Villiers, no run, in the channel, shuffles across and leaves
In walks AB, on a pair... Hello, Mr Anderson

Anderson to Cook, OUT, teaser in the channel, Cook feels for it - and nicks off! England strike and it's the debutant and first-innings Centurion centurion who goes, just reaching away from his body as he attempted to drive. Anderson removes Cook, to the delight of, er, Cook
SC Cook c †Bairstow b Anderson 25 (90m 69b 4x4 0x6) SR: 36.23
I have no problem with resting and rotating players in odi's and t20's but for me for test cricket you should always pick your best team.
The selectors have had a serious lack of vision. There has been much chopping and changing because they haven't identified the right players. They know need to identify who should be the side going forward.
1912. The last and the only time before AB de Villiers a SA captain got a pair in Tests. Louis Tancred had got out for a duck in both innings at the Oval in 1912.
Considering that we are setting a total, the last 10 overs were 28/2 and included 11 in the last over.
Surprising how little Pakistan achieved with him and Akram in the team.Great achievement but Younis was a different breed I reckon. Deadliest yorker I've ever seen...
Is Abbott out of this test bowling-wise?
Most likely...hamstring can't be patched up in a day.
that's going to be a massive problem...if England get through their first batting session with 3 wickets down, we're going to see our asses.

Yeah, problem indeed. As long as we have a total that England won't be able to chase down, we can afford catchers behind the wicket with Morkel and Rabada and then have men surrounding the bat when Piedt, Elgar and Duminy come on.
