Mmm... I wonder when Morkel would retire if he was forced to be the backup bowler.

Well done KG!

Sure we can hope that Cook makes it till 40, but that doesn't happen all that often. Look at the names you guys are throwing around. They didn't really make there début at 33.

Edit: Another one for Morkel. Good stuff

Mike Hussey debuted late and had a decent career :)

Obviously we're not expecting 10+ years, just a few years until we get back on track and reclaim the ranking that is rightfully ours!

Competition is good.

Does bring on another head ache though. Who is the opening pair from no one. Will Philander be as effective if he doesn't get the new ball?

Stick with what works. Either Steyn+Philander or KG+Philander. Steyn has come on first change on occasion, depending on conditions, and can bowl with any ball. Vern needs the new ball though...

Trying to follow the game at work on R2000FM, SS app on phone and cricinfo. Cricinfo-2 balls behind radio commentary and SS app 2 balls behind Cricinfo. Which one should I settle for?

Rabada to Bairstow, OUT, not for long, though - he edges his very next ball to de Kock! Rabada's so good he correct his mistake straight away, this was shorter, Bairstow hung back and prodded at it, thin edge through to the keeper... and that is his maiden Test ten-for, the youngest South African to do so, a magnificent showing

He also goes to 19 wickets for the series and will finish as taking most in it. Well done, lad! Well done! :)

Looking forward to KG learning old ball tricks from Steyn...that's where we're short when Dale isn't on the field.
