Hopefully De Kock and Bavuma can use the opportunity to put on some runs.

De Dock is off the mark as he flicks Anderson to fine leg for a single. SA 440/5 and trail by 189 runs.

Someone on cricinfo just said "SA all out for under 500, England slap a quick 150 on the board, and game on"

As for domestic competitions. If you speak to anyone they will say the domestic competition standards have dropped around the world. Our maybe more then others because of the quotas imposed but we are hardly alone in standards having dropped.

As I said after the "Argus review', the competition has strengthened here, there are bucketloads of talented palyers coming through, they could rotate their players if need be.

BTW, my point re not scoring the runs and playing for time here. The ball literally does nothing from 10th or 15th over onwards, but hey do not capitalise on those 75 overs. Now suddenly the two set batsmen out within 4 overs of 3rd new ball, and Bavuma et al facing new ball with 190 short. Get them out for 100 short and England will think its game on

Old thing in test cricket. When a big partnership is broken, the next wicket will follow soon.

'If' they have 100 to 130 lead and a full (long) session tonight they 'could' knock up 150 tonight, and another 100 with 5hrs left

Why would England do that? Clear opportunity for us to win then.

Half the posters on Cricinfo are below average :)

The net session to continue as long as possible.

Michael Holding just reminded everyone that this game could have been very different if both teams had held onto their chances.

That's poor from Quinton.

De Kock shows his immaturity, still doesnt have the mentality for test cricket.

That's just plain stupid...new ball, needed to get to 20 overs with it, they set him up on leg side and he still goes for it.

If they fall here around drinks, then England will have a whole day with close to 400

faf should be kicked in the nuts. hash had a marathon innings. just when you need him to consolidate the ******* caves. qdk you ******. got mindfsucked by that bowler broad. just a couple of words and he loses his head. 2 good batsmen and the rest look to be rather average.

Really hoping Bavuma takes this opportunity to settle some of the concerns around his spot in the team.

De Kock just wasted his. Morris I'm less concerned about as he's just a stop-gap measure.
