Been perusing the Sentech web pages that sold me on their service months back... Interesting how some of the stuff there seems laughable now:

"Unlike conventional terrestrial networks, Sentech's high-powered radio based Internet connectivity does not rely on the terrestrial telephone network that is prone to failure" -- Strange how something always goes down at least once every couple of days... Today's excuse: "Network maintenance"
"offers all the benefits and services expected of an Internet connection including web-browsing, FTP (file transfer protocol), instant messaging, e-mail and support for all Internet applications such as online banking or shopping. In addition, customers can now dramatically reduce the cost of connectivity for inter alia home-based security systems involving third-party web-cam technology." -- Web-cams? Can you say streaming video?
"Fixed monthly costs - regardless of bandwidth used" -- regardless of bandwidth used?
"Zero downtime caused by cable theft" -- zero downtime?
http://www.sentech.co.za/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=12&bid=22&btitle=ProductsAndServices&meid=21
"A 24-hour "always on" connection" -- zero downtime?
"The modem is capable of supporting up to 3Mbps transmission speeds" -- Strange - Can't even get close to 128kbps to Sentech's own speed tester - packet loss galore!
"No "capping" on usage" -- you can't get clearer than that!
http://www.sentech.co.za/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=134&bid=22&btitle=ProductsAndServices&meid=149
"Internet Access is contended or shared at specific ratios, the ratios which will be disclosed by Sentech to the customer on request" -- Well what is the ratio? Officially!
http://www.sentech.co.za/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=132&bid=22&btitle=ProductsAndServices&meid=147
Look at the table! "MyWireless 128" == "Shared 128Kbps" -- The same information is presented on the "Description/Prices" page. Enough of this MyWireless 128 isn't 128Kbps nonsense.
"Sentech does however not limit the amount of data via your connection and does not vary the quality of service according to the amount of data transferred. Thus the maximum amount of data transferable is defined by the speed of your chosen package, not a usage cap."
"Depending on these factors latency to the MyWireless hub may vary between 40ms in ideal conditions to 120ms in adverse conditions." -- Try 150ms+ and about 10-15% packet loss.
