I'm not too keen on it being full frame but it looks pretty impressive.

With a f/4 you wont have those additional 5 cross type sensors available to f/2.8.

It's not fast enough.

Why do you say that? 18MP isn't that high anymore. You seen what resolution Hasselblad cameras shoot at?

Well it is indeed true. Push too many pixels into an image and you end up losing quality too. Can't remember the specifics of this but I'm sure you guys will remember.

Did you mis-read my quote? Canon has traditionally pushed the resolution aggressively, especially compared to Nikon. Canon's previous 1D series full frame camera was 21MP. This is the first time they've reduced the pixel count in any of their SLR cameras.

And I don't agree that "18MP isn't that high anymore." 18MP images haven't gotten smaller and they're not taking up less space on my hard disc than when the 7D came out.

The Canon EOS-1D X is the first HDSLR with a built in wired LAN built into body. This is done because wired is more stable than wireless or USB plus it is lockable and no wireless interference. You can use FTP – eos utility mode – remote camera setup – utf server mode – web browser can connect to it as well as your Xbox 360 or Sony PS3.

Ah, okay didn't realise the previous version had a higher resolution.

I wasn't making any reference to the file sizes, I meant higher MP cameras are becoming more and more common place. I've bought around 5 digital cameras in the last 10 years, each time the MPs have been multiple times higher than the previous time.
