Hey guys

This problem has been happening well since I bought the phone, I made a post when it happened at first but nobody had any answers...

Anyway, after re-installing the firmware via itunes (3.1.2) the phone rebooted and well windows started recognizing the phone..

When windows recognizes the "apple camera device" windows crashes totally... Blue screen...

This has happened before, but 4 some strange reason this only happens sometimes...

Now, every time I try to connect my phone to my PC it crashes...

Anyone else ever had this problem and maybe a solution cause atm I cant connect my phone to my PC anymore...

Anyway, my setup:

iPhone 3G 8GB
Firmware: 3.1.2
Not jailbroken, cant connect my phone to my PC after installing the firmware
OS: Windows XP

That sounds to me like a driver issue.

If you can get a glimpse of the file causing the blue screen when it occurs (e.g xxx.sys) then that would help. It's on the actual blue screen, you may have to do it a few times to read it as it's pretty quick. Also try write the error e.g "IRQL_EQUAL_OR_NOT_LESS"

Then google this info.

Does this blue screen only happen when the iPhone is plugged in? I would try uninstalling your
current iTunes version, as well as the Apple Mobile Device Driver from Add/Remove programs, rebooting, and then grabbing the latest iTunes for XP from the apple site, and reinstall it.

Sounds like it's the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

Well, did a lot of reading about the subject...

Looks like it's a driver conflict with the logitech camera on the acer notebooks...

If this driver is updated the conflict dissapears and the driver is installed without any problems..

But I've still got one problem, I don't have a built-in camera on my notebook....

So I'm not completely sure which driver is having conflicts... Maybe printer?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

As i said, check the blue screen message and check which system file is causing the error.. That usually helps a lot once you google "blue screen + < system file>

You could also try go through Device Manager and disable each thing you think may be causing the problem, and plugging in your iPhone after each.
